Today was a day we’ll never forget—and not just because our backhoe got more photos taken with it than we did!
Sprague’s Backhoe proudly participated in the very first Touch-a-Truck & Spring Fling Craft Show hosted by the Tuttle Elementary PTO, and it was an incredible success from start to finish. As the PTO president and event coordinator, I was overwhelmed in the best way by the turnout, the community support, and the countless smiling faces.
🛻 What Made This Event So Special
The Touch-a-Truck area was packed with excitement all day long! From fire trucks and ambulances to monster trucks, limos, and excavators—kids got the chance to climb aboard, honk horns, and learn from the pros. Sprague’s Backhoe brought one of our signature backhoes, and we loved hearing all the little voices shouting, “I wanna drive that one!”
We also featured a quiet hour from 10–11AM, giving kids with sensory sensitivities a chance to enjoy the trucks without sirens or loud noises.
🎨 Craft Show & Food Trucks Galore
Inside the school, local vendors filled two full rooms, and the bounce houses were moved indoors for all-day fun. From handmade jewelry to local honey, there was truly something for everyone. The vendor list included:
-
Friends Market Boutique
-
Usborne Books & More
-
Rockin’ Robin Child Development
-
Ada’s Crafts
-
Matilda Jane Clothing
…and many more!
Outside, food trucks like Creek Bottom Burgers, Phill Me Up Cheesesteaks, and Silver City Coffee kept everyone well-fed, and Kaylin Koeltzow (Miss Tuttle) gave a beautiful live performance.
🧡 Community Response
The outpouring of love from our community was beyond anything we imagined. Just a few things we overheard:
“Got to check out Touch-a-Truck hosted by the Tuttle Elementary PTO, boy, we had a blast! My almost four-year-old had the best time.”
“Huge thank you to the ladies who organized the craft show and helped me load and unload. You have no idea how much that meant to me!”
“What an amazing day! The Tuttle Elementary PTO put on quite the community event.”
We’re so grateful for the businesses who supported us with sponsorships and raffle donations, including:
-
H&T Construction
-
Hughes Welding & Metal Fabrication
-
Trevor Bruce
